Uzbekistan Ranks Among the Region's Most Sought-After Tourism Destinations
In the first six months of 2026, the country welcomed more than 6.5 million international tourists — a 25% increase compared with the same period last year. The largest inflow came from the countries of Central Asia: Kyrgyzstan (1.87 million), Kazakhstan (1.55 million), and Tajikistan (1.47 million). Among more distant countries, Russia (585,500), China (223,500), and Türkiye (95,500) took the lead.
The steady growth of tourist flows reflects the rising international interest in Uzbekistan's historical and cultural heritage.
