IICA and AVİM discuss future of joint expert cooperation
During a working visit to Ankara, Javlon Vakhabov, Deputy Advisor to the President of Uzbekistan on Foreign Policy and Director of the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) met with Alev Kılıç, Director of the Center for Eurasian Studies (AVİM), and members of his research team.

The participants discussed prospects for developing cooperation between IICA and AVİM, including conducting joint research, exchanging analytical materials and data, preparing academic and expert publications, organizing roundtables, conferences, and webinars, as well as developing exchanges between employees, researchers, and young specialists.

J.Vakhabov noted that IICA views AVİM as an important partner in Turkey, highlighting its deep expertise in Eurasia, the South Caucasus, the Black Sea region, Central Asia, and the broader international agenda. According to his words, closer interaction between the two analytical centers can contribute to strengthening the intellectual foundation
of Uzbek-Turkish partnership and developing a more meaningful expert dialogue between Turkey and Central Asia.

In turn, A. Kylych emphasized AVİM's interest in expanding practical cooperation with MICA and developing regular contacts on issues of mutual interest. It was noted that the joint work of analytical centers could become an important channel for exchanging expert assessments on Central Asia, the South Caucasus, the Middle Corridor, the Organization of Turkic States, regional security, and modern processes in Eurasia.

AVİM is one of Turkey's leading analytical centers, founded in 2009 in Ankara, which studies political processes in Europe, the Balkans, the Black Sea region, the Caucasus, and Central Asia.
