The International Institute of Central Asia (IICA) held a meeting in the format of videoconference with Vice President of the Korea Foundation and Executive Director of the Secretariat of the Korea-Central Asia Cooperation Forum Jeong Kook Ri.
During the meeting the parties discussed organizational issues of the first Forum of think tanks "CA+South Korea", which is planned to be held in July this year in Tashkent.
The sides noted that the Forum will be aimed at defining the agenda of the next CA+South Korea summit, as well as working out practical proposals and new initiatives.
At the end of the meeting, Chung Kook Rhee noted that IICA and the Secretariat have common goals and objectives that are in line with the interests of the region and South Korea, and expressed confidence in the success of the Forum.
The Secretariat of the CA+Korea Cooperation Forum is an international structure under the Korea Foundation that was established
in 2017 to strengthen interaction between the parties by supporting the systematic implementation of projects within the Forum. It is based in Seoul.
