As part of a working visit to the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria and participation in the 17th International Conference of the Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, on January 29, Chairman of the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan M. Zokirzoda met with Chairman of the Majlis of the Islamic Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran M.B. Kolibof.

During the meeting, it was stressed that inter-parliamentary friendship groups operate between the Majlisi Namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Majlis of the Islamic Council of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Members of the inter-parliamentary friendship groups of the two countries visited to familiarize themselves with the multifaceted activities of parliaments, visit historical and cultural sites, as well as meetings with heads of ministries and departments.

At the end of the meeting, both sides stressed their firm commitment to expanding friendly relations and multilateral cooperation.
