KazMunayGas plans to produce up to 6.7 billion cubic meters of gas per year by 2030
KazMunaiGas is developing a Gas Strategy, under which it plans to increase natural gas production to 6.7 billion cubic meters per year by 2030, excluding major projects — Tengiz, Karachaganak and Kashagan.

In 2023, the operation of three new fields has already begun: Aksai Yuzhny, Vostochny Urikhtau, Rozhkovskoye.

In the next three to four years, KMG plans to start production at the Tsentralny Urikhtau field - about 1 billion cubic meters of gas per year.

In 2027, KazMunaiGas intends to put into operation the Zapadnaya Prorva and Kalamkas fields (gas production is expected to amount to 1.1 billion cubic meters per year).

Together with international companies, 12 promising exploration projects are being worked out, as well as projects for additional exploration of existing fields.
