Turkmenistan has become one of the largest importers of Iranian agricultural products
Between March and December last year, the value of Iran's food commodities rose by 22%, bringing exports during the period to $4.3bn. The export tonnage of this category of goods grew by 7.2%.
It is noted that the largest importers of food and agricultural products were Turkmenistan, China, India, Russia, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Germany, Qatar, Kazakhstan, Oman, Uzbekistan, Kuwait, Spain, Kyrgyzstan, Armenia and Syria. In total, the neighbouring republic exports agrarian products to 130 countries.
«As reported, of the total exports, 4.36 million tonnes worth $2.562 billion were cereals, vegetables and horticultural products, while the rest were fish, livestock and dairy products».
