Bulekpaev noted that the growth was ensured in manufacturing industries: machine building - by 45%, light industry - by 23.9%, pharmaceuticals - by 20%. Increase is also noted in the paper industry, construction industry and ferrous metallurgy.

According to the Akim of the region, the creation of more than 25 thousand jobs in all sectors of the economy has reduced unemployment to 4.1% and poverty to 2.7%. The real income of the population increased by 4.7 per cent.

The President was informed about the progress of the heating season and the current situation in the backbone enterprise Qarmet.

In the social sphere, construction of 92 rural healthcare facilities and modernisation of two inter-district hospitals has begun. Under the project "Comfortable School" 10 objects are being built with completion in 2024, it will provide 7100 places for schoolchildren.

Following the meeting, Kasym-Jomart Tokayev gave a number of instructions on further development of the region and improving the welfare of its residents. The head of state also noted the need to keep the situation at Qarmet's facilities under special control.
