The President was informed that by the results of the last year, positive dynamics was observed in the region in terms of the main macroeconomic indicators. In particular, the volume of industrial production in the region increased by 2.5% and exceeded 1 trillion tenge. In order to develop the manufacturing industry, 20 planned projects totalling 30.2 billion tenge were launched with the creation of 594 new jobs.

Akim said that in the next five years it is planned to increase the region's own revenues by 100 billion tenge. According to preliminary calculations, the volume of gross regional product last year amounted to 3.8 trillion tenge, the volume of agricultural output - 1.1 trillion tenge. Turkestan region is the leader in the country in terms of these indicators.

In addition, K.-J. Tokayev was informed about the development of small and medium-sized businesses in the region. According to D. Satybalda, the number of business entities reached 211 thousand, produced products worth 1.6 trillion tenge. The volume of construction works amounted to 407.5 billion tenge, commissioned 898.9 thousand square metres of housing.

The President was also provided with information on the work being done to supply water and gas to the region's villages. Last year, new water pipelines were brought to 20 settlements in the region, and dilapidated systems were renewed in nine villages. Construction of 62 gas facilities was also completed, 48 settlements were additionally connected to gas.

At the end of the meeting K.-J. Tokayev instructed the Akim to systematically and qualitatively implement measures to improve the welfare of residents and economic situation in the region. The task was set to continue work to ensure dynamic development of Turkestan region.
