The President called the meeting important for the development of trade, economic and investment cooperation between the countries.

It was emphasised that Tajikistan has a huge potential of renewable energy sources. The government of the country has adopted the "Strategy for the Development of Green Economy for 2023-2037" in order to develop the "green" economy.

Tajikistan is continuously taking practical measures to generate electricity from other renewable sources such as solar and wind sources.

The State of Qatar was encouraged to explore investment opportunities in these areas and to contribute significantly to the practical implementation of priority projects for the benefit of the two sides and to enhance co-operation between the countries.

During the meeting, the sides also expressed their views on other issues of interest.
