It was on this day in 1913 that the first issue of the newspaper "Kazak", which stood at the origins of the national press, was published. The publication, issued by the outstanding sons of our people - Alash activists, played a huge role in consolidating the nation at a critical period in history.

Adhering to the ideals of freedom of speech, the country's printed press is still a sought-after source of reliable, objective information and quality analyses. Newspapers and magazines raise pressing problems of the state and society, reflect a wide range of opinions, and promote fundamental human values.

Journalists of print media maintain high standards of the profession, show an example of active patriotism and civic responsibility. I am confident that domestic print media will continue to contribute to strengthening the unity of our people, making a significant contribution to building a Just Kazakhstan.
