During the meeting, Pontecorvo reaffirmed readiness to further develop fruitful cooperation with Turkmenistan, and President Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the bilateral talks scheduled during the current visit of the head of Leonardo to Ashgabat would contribute to the expansion of effective business cooperation.

In the context of discussing priority areas of cooperation, it was noted that productive contacts established between Turkmenistan and Italian companies in trade and economic sphere, energy and other sectors, in the private sector play a significant role in strengthening the constructive interstate dialog. Over the past years, a solid positive experience of partnership with multifaceted potential has been accumulated.

The possibilities of utilizing the potential of satellite communications were also considered during the meeting. In this context, it was noted that Turkmenistan is ready to consider specific proposals of the Italian company.

Expressing his sincere gratitude to the head of state for the substantive and detailed conversation on topical issues of cooperation, the businessman emphasized that the Italian partners would continue to take the most serious and responsible approach to the fulfillment of their commitments.
