The Head of Turkmenistan accredited the Ambassador of India
On 20 February, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to Turkmenistan Madhumit Hazarika Bhagat presented his credentials to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and noted the positive dynamics in the development of bilateral relations. The President emphasised that India is one of the priority partners for Turkmenistan in South Asia.
The countries fruitfully cooperate in the trade and economic sphere, particularly in the fuel and energy and transport sectors, agriculture, textile industry. Of particular importance is the implementation of the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India Transnational Gas Pipeline (TAPI) project.
