During the meeting it was noted that in general the relations between the countries have positive dynamics, and regular meetings and negotiations at the highest level play a special role in strengthening co-operation. Among the key areas of partnership is the humanitarian sphere, including co-operation in the fields of science, education, culture and sports.

"Thus, the long-standing practice of mutually beneficial trusting co-operation serves as a clear indicator of goodwill of the parties, demonstrating the desire to bring the traditional partnership to a qualitatively new level that meets modern realities," the statement said.

At the end of the meeting, the sides emphasised the countries' commitment to further development of interstate cooperation and its strengthening.
