Kazakhstan will invest 50 billion tenge in renewable energy in 2024
The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan has announced the amount of investment in the construction and commissioning of renewable energy sources.

The investment volume will be approximately 50 billion tenge, with 9 billion tenge allocated to wind power plants, 13 billion tenge to solar power plants, and 28 billion tenge to hydroelectric power plants.

In general, the response says, in 2024 it is planned to commission 11 RES facilities with a capacity of 117.35 MW, of which: 3 RES with a capacity of 27.45 MW; 2 SES with a capacity of 40 MW; 6 HPPs with a capacity of 49.9 MW.

Earlier, RK Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliev shared plans to introduce renewable energy sources in 2024.

"We have a comprehensive programme for the development of RES. This year we have quite a large volume of inputs planned practically all over Kazakhstan. These are various capacity facilities - 50, 40 megawatts," the Minister said.
