Uzbekistan Sends 200 Tons of Humanitarian Aid to Kyrgyzstan
Uzbekistan has dispatched 200 tons of humanitarian aid to the Osh region of Kyrgyzstan, affected by mudslides.
The shipment, which includes food, construction materials, and essential items, was delivered on July 16 through the "Dustlik" border post.
The convoy consisted of 13 trucks, with nine heading to the city of Osh. The delegation was led by Shukhrat Abdurakhmanov, the governor of Andijan region, who conveyed greetings and condolences from the President of Uzbekistan to the local residents.
Severe mudslides struck Osh and the surrounding region on July 14, damaging nearly 800 buildings and resulting in the tragic loss of four family members. Earlier in July, Uzbekistan had already sent 95 tons of aid to residents affected by flooding.
