Kyrgyzstan and South Korea Launch Payment Processing Venture
On August 28, Kyrgyzstan and South Korea officially launched BC Card Kyrgyzstan, a joint venture aimed at modernizing the country's payment infrastructure. The partnership involves South Korea’s BC Card, Smartro, and Kyrgyzstan’s ZAO Mezhbankovskiy Interbank Processing Center.
At the opening ceremony, Akylbek Japarov, Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, highlighted the importance of this venture in advancing non-cash payments and enhancing financial security. Japarov also conducted the first transaction using the new system, marking the beginning of a new chapter in Kyrgyzstan's financial landscape.
