Uzbekistan Claims Third Place at Chess Olympiad
Uzbekistan's men’s chess team secured a bronze medal at the 2024 Chess Olympiad, competing against 189 countries.
The decisive victory came in the final round against France. Grandmaster Shamsiddin Vokhidov earned a gold medal on the fourth board, while Nodirbek Abdusattorov won silver on the first board. The women's team significantly improved their performance, finishing 12th, with Nodira Nadirjanova claiming a silver medal for her impressive play.
