Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan Strengthen Cooperation in Energy and Water Resources
On May 14, a trilateral working meeting was held at Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Energy with the participation of Energy Minister Jurabek Mirzamakhmudov, Water Resources Minister Shavkat Khamrayev, Kazakhstan’s Energy Minister Almasadam Satkaliyev, Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Nurzhan Nurzhigitov, Kyrgyzstan’s Energy Minister Taalaibek Ibraev, and other senior officials.
✅ Stability of the water-energy system for the summer season was discussed
✅ Sector operation schedules were coordinated
✅ The current status of the “Kambarata HPP-1” project and balance coordination were reviewed
✅ A joint protocol was signed at the end of the meeting
