President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov Arrives in Budapest
On May 20, 2025, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov arrived in Budapest on a working visit to participate in the informal summit of the Heads of State of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). Upon arrival, he was welcomed by Gergely Gulyás, Minister and Head of the Prime Minister’s Office of Hungary, along with other senior officials.
During the visit, President Japarov is scheduled to hold talks with Hungarian leadership, including Prime Minister Viktor Orbán. The agenda includes discussions on strengthening the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Hungary, as well as enhancing cooperation within the OTS framework.
Back in November 2024, during his meeting with Prime Minister Orbán, President Japarov expressed his full support for the initiative to hold an informal OTS summit in Budapest during Kyrgyzstan’s chairmanship of the organization. He also reaffirmed Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to ensuring the summit’s successful organization.
