Uzbekistan Elected Unanimously to FAO Council
At the FAO Conference in Rome, Uzbekistan was unanimously elected to the FAO Council — a 49-member governing body—marking the country’s first-ever membership.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan highlighted:
✅ Enables direct involvement in shaping global food policies, standards, and regulatory documents
✅ Opens avenues for national and regional initiatives on food security and sustainable agriculture
