Afghanistan to Appoint Transport Attachés in Regional Countries
Afghanistan’s Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation announced plans to assign transport attachés in Uzbekistan, Iran, Pakistan, Turkmenistan, and Tajikistan. Their mission will be to ease transit processes, expand exports, and improve services for drivers and traders.

Business representatives welcomed the initiative, highlighting the importance of international transport agreements and the use of routes such as the Lapis Lazuli Corridor. The Chamber of Commerce stressed that, as a landlocked country, Afghanistan urgently needs to strengthen regional transport corridors.
