Key Outcomes of the State Visit of Jordan’s King Abdullah II to Uzbekistan
An official ceremony was held in Samarkand to welcome King Abdullah II.

President Shavkat Mirziyoyev and King Abdullah II held talks at the Congress Center.
15 bilateral agreements were signed, covering extradition, investment protection, visa-free travel, education, tourism, healthcare, agriculture, aviation, and standardization.
Agreement reached to establish an Intergovernmental Commission and a Business Council, with a business forum planned by the end of the year.
Both sides confirmed readiness to increase trade turnover and implement joint investment projects.
Key areas of cooperation: chemical and textile industries, smart agriculture, geology, pharmaceuticals, IT, and tourism.
Cultural exchanges emphasized — joint culture weeks, exhibitions, and expositions.
Cooperation in Islamic studies and preservation of shared spiritual heritage was discussed.
President Mirziyoyev endorsed the “Aqaba Process” initiative and suggested hosting a session in Samarkand.
Regular flights and visa-free travel regime confirmed.
President Mirziyoyev awarded Jordan’s highest order “An-Nahda.”
As a symbol of friendship, a tree was planted together in Samarkand.
