Uzbekistan’s Population Reaches 38 Million
According to the State Committee on Statistics, as of the morning of August 28, 2025, Uzbekistan’s population stood at 38 million. This includes 19,136,800 men and 18,863,200 women, with the male population exceeding the female by 273,600.
On January 1, 2025, the figure was above 37.5 million, marking a growth of about 2% during 2024. At the same time, last year saw the first decline in birth rates since 2017, down by 3.7%, and recorded the lowest number of marriages in the past decade.
Uzbekistan passed the 37 million mark in April 2024.
