Central Asia seeks unified strategy towards Afghanistan
On February 16, 2026, Astana hosted an extraordinary meeting of Special Representatives of Central Asian countries on Afghanistan.
The meeting was attended by Special Representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.
The participants discussed key issues of regional cooperation with Afghanistan, including the development of trade and economic ties, the expansion of transit and transport corridors, as well as efforts to regional security.
