Uzbekistan and Tajikistan Enter a New Stage of Partnership
At the invitation of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon will make a state visit to Uzbekistan on March 26-27.

The program includes high-level talks and the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council co-chaired by the leaders of the two countries – a new institutional format designed to provide additional impetus to bilateral cooperation.

Key topics on the agenda include strengthening good-neighborly relations, developing strategic partnership and alliance, expanding political dialogue, trade and economic ties, industrial cooperation, transport connectivity, water and energy security, and cultural and humanitarian exchanges.

The visit is expected to lead to the launch of new joint initiatives and the signing of a substantial package of documents that will define the future trajectory of cooperation between the two countries.
