During the meeting, the parties discussed the state and prospects of the Uzbek-Chinese comprehensive strategic partnership, regional security issues, and avenues for developing the expert and analytical dialogue.

Opening the conversation, J. Vakhabov stressed the particular timeliness and relevance of the meeting, held immediately after the SCO summit in Bishkek and against the backdrop of intensive bilateral contacts. It was noted that the agreements reached by the leaders on the sidelines of the summit directly contribute to the practical implementation of large-scale economic and infrastructure projects.

In turn, Xing Guangcheng emphasized that the growth of trade turnover between the two countries and the expansion of trade and investment cooperation create a reliable foundation for long-term engagement, contributing to the sustainable development of the entire region.

The Senior Research Fellow of ICBS CASS singled out cooperation within the "Central Asia - China" format as an important area. It was noted that this platform is being transformed into an effective instrument for ensuring regional security, economic integration and infrastructure connectivity.

Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of systematically deepening humanitarian and academic cooperation between the two countries, including through more active direct contacts between the research communities, as well as the expansion of academic exchanges and joint research projects.

Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in continuing regular consultations and expert meetings on topical issues of the Uzbek-Chinese partnership.
