During the meeting, the parties discussed current issues on the regional and international agenda, the state and prospects of Uzbek–Russian cooperation, as well as the development of expert-level interaction between the analytical centers of the two countries.
J. Vakhabov noted that relations between states continue to develop consistently in the spirit of a comprehensive strategic partnership and alliance. It was emphasized that active political dialogue and contacts at various levels create favorable conditions for expanding practical cooperation.
In turn, M. Fradkov underscored the importance of maintaining dialogue between analytical and research institutions of Uzbekistan and Russia, highlighting the significance of regular expert consultations on pressing regional and international issues.
Following the meeting, the parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in further strengthening cooperation between IICA and RISS.
The Russian Institute for Strategic Studies (RISS) – is a state analytical center established by the President of the Russian Federation, conducting research on international relations, the global economy, and security, as well as providing analytical support to public authorities.
A Memorandum of Cooperation between IICA and RISS, signed on May 18, 2021, is currently in force.
