The meeting centered on advancing educational ties between Uzbekistan and Xinjiang. Key priorities included the implementation of joint degree programs, organizing internships and fellowships for young researchers, and driving academic exchanges.
Amb.Vakhabov pointed out the promising avenues for educational partnerships between Uzbekistan and Xinjiang, suggesting the active involvement of the China-Central Asia Center for Educational Exchange and Cooperation. He stressed the need to focus on workforce development to address growing market demands and current technological trends.

Xinjiang University President Ma Xinbin expressed a strong commitment to connecting with Uzbekistan universities. His proposals included rolling out dual-degree programs for graduate and doctoral students, alongside expanding student and faculty exchange initiatives.

Particular attention was given to establishing direct cooperation between the IICA and Xinjiang University. Promising areas for joint work were identified, including research projects, workshops, guest lectures and exchange programmes for young researchers.
