The parties exchanged views on the current state of the Uzbekistan–Türkiye partnership and explored opportunities for its further strengthening. Particular emphasis was placed on the role of expert dialogue in bolstering bilateral relations.
Javlon Vakhabov noted that the steady and consistent development of the Uzbekistan–Türkiye partnership is underpinned by active political dialogue, expanding economic cooperation, and the historically rooted ties between the two nations.
In turn, Ufuk Ulutaş emphasized that the relations of friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and Türkiye have reached a qualitatively new level.
The Ambassador further noted that his recent visit to Andijan provided a firsthand look at the country’s industrial landscape, underscoring the significant footprint of Turkish business in the region.
By year-end, bilateral trade turnover topped $3 billion, bolstered by a network of 2,200 joint ventures, while total realized investment reached nearly $10 billion.
Highlighting the Organization of Turkic States as a pivotal and evolving platform for multilateral engagement, the Ambassador noted its central position on the regional agenda and expressed high hopes for Uzbekistan’s chairmanship in the organization in the coming year.
Concluding the meeting, the parties discussed upcoming joint activities for this year, with a particular focus on expanding expert-level engagement.
