The meeting addressed prospects for further strengthening expert cooperation between the research communities of the two countries.
The Japanese diplomat underlined the importance of maintaining regular contacts between the think tanks of Uzbekistan and Japan, noting their value for deepening mutual understanding and expanding practical cooperation between the two countries.
Particular attention was given to preparations for the first «Central Asia–Japan» Think Tank Forum, to be held on 23–24 September this year in Tashkent.
In the Ambassador's assessment, the Forum's agenda corresponds to the key priorities set out in the Tokyo Declaration, including the development of transport connectivity, the green transition, the strengthening of human capital and the expansion of educational cooperation.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their mutual interest in further deepening expert cooperation and in jointly preparing for the Forum.
