During the meeting, the sides exchanged views on current regional cooperation processes in Central Asia and the further development of relations between the countries of the region and the European Union. The discussion covered transport connectivity, trade, water and energy cooperation, and the development of border areas.
Stiprais expressed interest in expanding ties between analytical and research institutions in Central Asia and relevant European think tanks, noting the growing need for more regular expert exchanges on key issues of interregional cooperation.
Vakhabov supported the initiative and expressed IICA’s readiness to facilitate the establishment of direct professional ties and the development of practical cooperation between the expert communities of the two regions.
The sides noted their mutual interest in further developing expert dialogue and implementing joint initiatives in areas of common interest.
