According to M. Kukkonen-Karlander, the Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation, established by former Finnish President Martti Ahtisaari, has 25 years of experience in peacebuilding and conflict resolution. It was noted that the organization is actively working to promote dialogue and cooperation in various regions of the world, particularly in Africa and Asia, the Middle East, and the Korean Peninsula.

Finnish experts emphasized that the policy of good-neighborliness and open dialogue, actively promoted by the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, contributes to strengthening trust between countries, creating conditions for prosperity and stability, and jointly addressing existing issues based on the principles of mutual respect and consideration of each other's interests.

These efforts resonate within the international agenda for enhancing security and sustainable development, demonstrating the importance of pragmatic and constructive interaction between states.

In this context, M. Kukkonen-Karlander highly praised the recent successful resolution of border issues between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan. According to the expert, this achievement represents an important precedent for peaceful settlement, which could serve as a model for other regions worldwide.
The international peacebuilding organization expressed confidence in the advancement of similar peace processes and reaffirmed its readiness to support efforts aimed at maintaining sustainable peace and stability in Central Asia.

At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties confirmed their intention to develop research cooperation and promote joint initiatives that foster trust, security, and sustainable development in Central Asia.
