The meeting focused on the results of the ongoing processes of regional rapprochement in Central Asia, as well as the future prospects of the Fergana Peace Forum as a platform for strengthening trust and good-neighborly relations.
Vakhabov emphasized the importance of further enhancing the practical substance of the Fergana Peace Forum and maintaining sustained dialogue among stakeholders. The importance of consistently advancing initiatives aimed at strengthening mutual understanding and expanding cooperation in the Fergana Valley was also underscored.
Rumin highly commended the level of mutual trust achieved by the countries of Central Asia and expressed interest in further developing cooperation in this area.
The IICA Director, in turn, expressed the Institute’s readiness to continue cooperation with the OSCE on confidence-building and regional cooperation, as well as to contribute to the further development of expert dialogue within the Fergana process.
