Discussions centered on the Institute's core research and analytical tracks, the work of its Academic and Expert Council, support for regional development, and the expansion of international cooperation.

Staff presented consolidated reports on the analytical materials, policy proposals, and conceptual work produced over the first six months, along with progress on projects covering cooperation with the countries of Central Asia.

Considerable attention went to building ties with leading analytical institutions specializing in Central Asian studies. Participants noted the expansion of IICA's partner network, including cooperation agreements signed with research organizations in Europe, the United States, Russia, China, and elsewhere.

The meeting also reviewed the outcomes of international forums, conferences, and roundtables hosted by the Institute, as well as its experts' participation in events in Uzbekistan and abroad. Also assessed were the results of IICA fellowships at Uzbekistan's diplomatic missions in the United States, Russia, China, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Japan, and Afghanistan.

Participants turned as well to the Institute's work across Uzbekistan's regions, in particular its comprehensive study of the socioeconomic development of the Andijan and Namangan.

Separate attention went to the Academic and Expert Council, which supports independent researchers working on regional cooperation, security, and sustainable development in Central Asia.

The meeting concluded by setting priorities for the second half of the year: improving the quality and timeliness of analytical output, sharpening the applied focus of research, stepping up the work of the Academic and Expert Council, broadening international contacts, and continuing the comprehensive study of the country's regions.
