IICA Holds Meeting with Finnish Expert
Daniyar Kurbanov, Head of Department at the International Institute for Central Asia, held a meeting with Kristiina Silvan, Postdoctoral Fellow in the Russia, Eastern Europe and Eurasia Research Programme at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA).

During the meeting, the sides discussed current trends in regional cooperation in Central Asia and opportunities for advancing dialogue within the Central Asia–Nordic format.

Special attention was given to ways to establish partnership ties between IICA and FIIA, including through joint research, the preparation of publications, and the organization of expert events.

Daniyar Kurbanov noted that, against the backdrop of the emerging Central Asia–Nordic format, IICA attaches particular importance to expanding cooperation with Nordic think tanks, including FIIA.

For her part, Kristiina Silvan expressed interest in developing practical cooperation with IICA and supported initiatives aimed at deepening expert dialogue between Central Asia and the Nordic countries.

Following the meeting, the sides agreed to maintain working contacts and explore possible areas for further cooperation.
