IICA Hosts Meeting with Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation expert
The International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) held a meeting with Janan Mosazai, consultant at the Martti Ahtisaari Peace Foundation in Finland.

The parties discussed key issues of regional cooperation and reviewed the strategic outlook for Central Asia amid ongoing geopolitical changes.

At the beginning of the meeting, J. Mosazai highlighted the importance of the policy of good-neighborliness and open dialogue promoted by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, noting its contribution to strengthening trust among regional states.

It was noted that Central Asia is undergoing a period of positive transformation, with the resolution of border issues between Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan becoming an important milestone in this process.

The expert expressed the Foundation’s readiness to support peacebuilding initiatives aimed at maintaining sustainable peace and stability in Central Asia.

Discussions also addressed issues related to strengthening the regional security architecture, including aligning approaches to contemporary challenges, as well as expanding cooperation in trade, transport and logistics, and humanitarian areas.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to deepen practical engagement, including through working visits and expert discussions within bilateral cooperation and multilateral platforms.
