The International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) hosted a delegation from a Türkiye think tank.
On June 2, the International Institute for Central Asia (IICA) hosted an online meeting with a delegation from the Center for Strategic Research (SAM) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Türkiye, headed by its Chairman, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Erdağ.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on key regional and international developments and explored prospects for establishing an institutional partnership between the two countries’ leading think tanks.

Opening the session, Director Javlon Vakhabov outlined IICA’s core mission and strategic mandate. His presentation further detailed the contemporary dynamics of regional cooperation in Central Asia, with a particular focus on the collaborative efforts of regional states under the 'C5+' platform.

For his part, Prof. Dr. Ramazan Erdağ emphasized that Türkiye and Uzbekistan are fraternal nations bound by deep historical, cultural, and strategic ties, which provide a solid foundation for further expanding bilateral cooperation.

According to the head of the Center, the active involvement of research and analytical institutions in fostering mutually beneficial partnerships is of paramount importance to this process.

The organization of joint expert discussions and the conduct of joint research activities were identified as priority areas of cooperation.

In conclusion, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further expanding practical cooperation, including through working visits and expert-level events within bilateral formats and multilateral platforms.
