Uzbekistan's Approaches to Digital Economy Development Presented at Forum in Tianjin
IICA Head of Department Kakhramon Allaberganov took part in the "Digital Going Global: New Opportunities, New Ecosystems" Think Tank Forum, held on July 10–11 in Tianjin, China.

The event brought together representatives of leading think tanks, research institutions, universities, and business communities from China, Russia, Pakistan, and the countries of Central Asia.

Participants discussed prospects for international cooperation in the digital economy, the development of innovation ecosystems, and the deployment of advanced technologies. Particular attention was given to workforce training for the digital economy.

In his address, Kakhramon Allaberganov presented Uzbekistan's approaches to advancing the digital economy. These include building modern IT infrastructure, developing IT Park Uzbekistan, deploying digital solutions in socially significant sectors, and promoting the principles of a sustainable and inclusive digital transformation.

In this context, he highlighted the implementation of initiatives to build competencies in artificial intelligence, including the "Five Million AI Leaders" program, aimed at expanding learning opportunities and strengthening digital skills.

The IICA expert emphasized that Uzbekistan is an active participant in the SCO's digital agenda. He noted that the country supports the development of joint initiatives in digital infrastructure, information and communication technologies, and the exchange of experience among the Organization's member states.

Following the forum, participants expressed their readiness to continue expert dialogue on digital transformation and to implement joint projects within the SCO framework.
