The discussion focused on ways to establish partnership between IICA and FIIA, as well as on opportunities for regular exchanges on key regional and international issues.
Javlon Vakhabov noted that developing ties with one of Finland’s leading think tanks is fully in line with IICA’s efforts to expand professional engagement with the European expert community and create new platforms for substantive discussion of developments in Central Asia.
Hiski Haukkala, in turn, emphasized FIIA’s growing interest in Central Asia and expressed readiness to explore practical formats of cooperation with IICA within the framework of further expert dialogue. It was also noted that interest in the ongoing transformations in Central Asia is increasing among Finland’s academic and expert communities.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides reaffirmed their mutual interest in maintaining ties and further developing cooperation between the two institutions.
