The Lebap region produced more than 10 billion cubic meters of gas in 2023
In the Lebap region over the past year amounted to the volume of natural gas produced about 10.9 billion cubic meters. At the same time, the gas producers of the eastern region of the country exceeded the production plan for the extraction of blue fuel back in November, when the injection reached more than 9.8 billion cubic meters.
It is noted that currently the leading factor in increasing production volumes is the modernization of wells operating in the region, the number of which is about 91 units. Due to this, the average daily production amounted to about 33 million cubic meters of gas per day.
Part of the extracted fuel was exported to the Chinese market through the Turkmenistan—Uzbekistan—Kazakhstan—China gas pipeline.
Special attention is paid to the production of liquefied natural gas, for which major repairs are being carried out at terminals in Naip and Gazojak for receiving and storing LNG. These measures will increase the volume of production of the product.
