In 2024 Tajikistan will chair the CIS Board of Experts in the field of protection of tangible heritage
In 2024, the Republic of Tajikistan will chair the Board of Experts of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) on the Protection of Tangible Heritage.

Earlier, First Deputy Director of the National Museum of Tajikistan Sherali Khojazoda took part in the seventh meeting of the "International Council on Cultural Heritage" held in the Russian capital and made a presentation on "Globalisation and Protection of National Tangible and Spiritual Heritage".

The seventh meeting of the "International Council for Cultural Heritage" was attended by industry experts from Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, China, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Cuba, Mexico, Algeria, Italy, Turkey, Peru, as well as UNESCO and ICOMOS representations.

Within the framework of the meeting the sponsors of the event organised "II International Symposium of the National Commission of ICOMOS - Russia" devoted to summing up the results of the "Year of Mentor and Mentee", "IV International Youth Forum" on the discovery of young geniuses in the direction of the protection of national heritage. In view of the active participation in the work, the representative of Tajikistan was honoured with the gratitude of the National Commission of ICOMOS-Russia.
