The Head of State received Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov
The President heard a report on the main results of the development of Kazakhstan for 2023 and the implementation of reforms in the socio-economic sphere. Thus, the growth of the country's economy was 5.1%. The volume of investment in fixed assets increased by 13.7% to $39.5 billion, with $19.7 billion of foreign direct investment attracted in the first 9 months of 2023. The number of employed in small and medium-sized businesses increased by 14% (by 500 thousand people) to 4.3 million people.

Foreign trade turnover increased by 2.2% and totalled $126 billion, the trade surplus exceeded $16 billion.

At present, the implementation of the Unified Pool of Investment Projects continues. At the end of last year, 298 projects worth 1.8 trillion tenge were launched. In 2024 it is planned to implement another 326 projects worth 3.8 trillion tenge, including 180 projects worth 1.2 trillion tenge in the manufacturing industry with the creation of 15 thousand new jobs.

The Prime Minister spoke about measures to develop entrepreneurship and improve the investment climate, reforms in the energy and construction sectors, as well as the introduction of new approaches in the agro-industrial complex.

Following the meeting Kasym-Jomart Tokayev gave a number of instructions for further socio-economic development of the country.
