At the meeting, the head of state presented the current economic situation of Tajikistan and prospective areas of co-operation between the two states.
It was noted that in accordance with the realisation of the country's strategic goals, great investment opportunities have been created, and mechanisms for granting tax and customs privileges and guarantees have been widely used. The current legislation of the country defines more than 240 types of guarantees and privileges, including more than 110 tax and customs privileges and incentives for investors.
It was informed that important measures were being taken to further develop energy, transport, industry, agriculture, communications, finance, banking and tourism. At the same time, Tajikistan maintains fruitful co-operation with all international financial structures and has economic ties with 110 countries of the world. Thanks to this, more than 720 public investment projects worth more than $13.8 billion are being implemented in Tajikistan today.
