Kyrgyzstan and the World Bank signed agreements on cooperation in the energy sector
Two energy and cooperation agreements have been signed between Kyrgyzstan and the World Bank.

Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Mr. A. Japarov met with the World Bank's Regional Director for Central Asia Mr. T. Proskuryakova and the Head of the World Bank Office in Kyrgyzstan Mr. Navid Hassan Naqvi.

The parties discussed the development of cooperation in the field of energy and water resources, as well as the upcoming visit of the Executive Directors of the World Bank Group to Kyrgyzstan.

As a result of negotiations between Kyrgyzstan and the World Bank Group, the agreements "On Establishment and Activities of the World Bank Group Representative Offices in the Kyrgyz Republic" and "On the KR Renewable Energy Development Project - Phase 1" were signed.
