Sada is a symbol of leaving the middle of winter and brings people the first news of spring, prepares farmers for sowing and field work. Sada with its unquenchable fire reunited winter cold with spring light and warmth, 50 days and 50 nights before Nowruz people waited impatiently, preparing for the biggest holiday of spring and welcoming the New Year of ancestors - Nowruz.
During the days of the Garden, farmers receive quality seeds and necessary fertilisers, prepare equipment and land for spring sowing. They clean ditches and drains, thaw and wash saline soils, and apply fertilisers. Tree pruning is also carried out, and pest and disease control measures are organised.
Traditionally, Tajik women from all over the country decorated a festive dastarkhan, where national dishes considered typical for each region of the country were arranged.
As Sada is a celebration of farmers, it is also considered a professional holiday for scholars in the field.
Classical and modern poets have created many poetic works about Sada.
