Torobaev raised the issues of withdrawal of Kyrgyz airlines from the EU flight safety list and simplification of visa regime for Kyrgyz citizens. It was proposed to establish co-operation on the development of deposits of rare earth and other critical metals.

He also expressed the wish of the European side to consider the possibility of supporting the exchange of the country's external debt for "green" projects.

Borrel noted the increasing role of Central Asia in the world and confirmed the intentions of the European Union to strengthen ties and co-operation with Kyrgyzstan in all areas of mutual interest.
