Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan intend to resume the work of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the two countries
Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan J. Kulubaev and S. Mukhriddin signed in Dushanbe a programme of cooperation between the foreign ministries for 2024-2025.

J.Kulubaev noted that on 16 May 2008, the countries signed a memorandum on the establishment of an interstate coordination council and the Council of Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. He proposed to resume the work of the Council of Foreign Ministers.

According to the Foreign Minister, the settlement of the border issue between the two countries "will allow the parties to intensify co-operation in all areas of mutual interest".

The Foreign Minister noted that the republic intends to develop relations with the Kyrgyz Republic. "We see the task at the current stage in the consistent development of interstate relations in all areas," Mukhriddin said.
