It was reported to the head of state that the annual volume of investments of the bank for 2022-2023 years totaled $4.2 billion, which is almost 1.5 times more than approved by the Strategy 2022-2026 plan. At the same time, the share of Kazakh projects in the bank's portfolio continues to grow. At the end of 2023, it amounted to 59%.

The President was presented with information that the amount of potential projects being considered by the bank in Kazakhstan for 2024 exceeds 3.5 billion dollars.

As Mr. N. Podguzov told, this year EDB intends to promote the development of Kazakhstan's financial market and introduction of new instruments for financing infrastructure projects.

EDB Chairman also presented to K.-J.Tokayev the results of research in the field of water and energy complex of Central Asia.

The Head of State welcomed the holding of the EDB Annual Meeting and Business Forum in Almaty this summer, the agenda of which will include such issues as the water and energy complex of Central Asia, development of the transport framework and financial instruments. The President also emphasized the importance of infrastructure projects in Kazakhstan supported by the Bank.
