During the conference "Makhtumkuli Fraghi's Concept of Peace and Diplomacy of Neutral Turkmenistan", Italian Ambassador to Turkmenistan Luigi Ferrari said that a number of political, cultural, business and educational events are planned on the occasion of the remarkable event.

Over the years of diplomatic relations, the countries have established effective cooperation in various areas, including business, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

Last year, the Embassy of Italy in Turkmenistan together with the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan held concerts dedicated to the 210th anniversary of the outstanding composer Giuseppe Verdi.

In March 2024, a concert of famous pianists from the two countries will be held in Ashgabat.
