During the meeting, which took place within the framework of the final tournament of the Emir of Qatar Cup horse racing festival, the sides discussed issues related to friendly relations and development of multifaceted cooperation between the two friendly countries.

The Head of State congratulated the Emir of Qatar on the successful holding of the final tournament of the Horse Racing Festival, thanked him for the invitation, warm welcome and sincere hospitality.

The Emir of the State of Qatar, in turn, called it an honourable achievement for the national team of Tajikistan to enter the top eight football teams of Asia and congratulated the Head of State and the people of Tajikistan on this high result.

During the conversation, the sides emphasised the need to strengthen relations between the two states in the areas of interest. Emomali Rahmon emphasised our side's interest in attracting Qatari capital in energy, mining and agriculture.

The heads of the two friendly states also exchanged views on a number of regional and international topics of interest to both sides.
